Apathy

Posted by Timothy | Filed under BAIMP, Personal Experience

Definitions

  • absence or suppression of passion, emotion, or excitement
  • lack of interest in or concern for things that others find moving or exciting
I know it may be quite clear to others what apathy is but i though i would just ad the definitions as it helps me to remember what it actually means.
I have been struggling recently with being apathetic and it is getting me a little. I cant pin point what it is but i just don’t seem to have much motivation for anything particularly especially the aspect of University work. It seems at the beginning of terms as one has had such a nice break, knuckling down to some hard work is not the top priority. This i think boils down to my own personal motivation and attitude to getting essays and projects started. The whole thing is not helped if one leaves work until the last moment possible. I do think that Institutions could be more proactive in helping students with managing their time and tasks as we are just set these briefs and then 6 weeks later we are meant to come up with the goods. Though this sounds like i want to be spoon fed again i argue that even in the industry there would be some one who you would be accountable to and bench marks to reach. Therefore i do think that if we had more accountability that was almost compulsory  this would help us in creating better and ultimately more significant work. But in typing this i am realising that these are just skills that have to be achieved and why should a lecturer or employer have to manage my own time. I think the divide between university and “real life” is quite similar and does help prepare us but i cant se how the more help and advise can hurt.
I would agree that i have been quite contradictory but there is a fine line here that needs to be followed. I would argue that university can almost instil this sense of apathy and is in-fact not totally down to the individual but the whole “system”.

Sick of obtaining low amounts of useless traffic for your website? Well i want to inform you of a new underground tactic that produces myself $900 every day on 100% AUTOPILOT. I could truthfully be here all day and going into detail but why dont you just check their website out? There is a excellent video that explains everything. So if your seriously interested in making easy cash this is the site for you. Auto Traffic Avalanche

Together with everything that seems to be building throughout this specific subject matter, a significant percentage of perspectives tend to be very exciting. However, I beg your pardon, because I do not give credence to your entire plan, all be it refreshing none the less. It would seem to everyone that your remarks are generally not entirely rationalized and in reality you are yourself not completely certain of your argument. In any event I did appreciate looking at it.
