hey i was using a 17.5 meter slingshot machine but i am pretty big… 95kg.. what weight are you as it depends on that… i would say that it varies but if its windy its about max 20knot but no more its usually about 15 -17 knots… but can be an idle 13 knots… so for the lights winds a 15- 17 meter and for the windier days i would suggest at a 12 meter…

i have a nice 12 meter flexi foil atom 08 that was great when it was about 17 knots… but could have done with a few more knots… as when it dropped to about 15 it was a bit of a strugle…

you will very rarely need anything smaller than a 12 meter to be honest.

hope that helps… i might be out there too.. if i can help some more if you need some kite gear then let me know..

I have been following the current MTN Soccer Academy interviews and feel a lot of disgust at the way the participants from the Francophone countries are being embarrased. I think that the organisers should get at least one French speaking panelist to double as an interpreter that if you can not get them a wholly French speaking panel. Please do something now to reverse the raw deal meted out to these young boys
