Lake Elementaita in the Rift Valley
I have pulled this one out of the bag as it went well with this little series. I have taken the advice of others and kept it simple..
What says you?

I like it. The toning might be a biiiiiiiit too strong for my taste, but that’s just a matter of taste.
I like the big sky…it really makes the flat ground look flat

We like this. The expansive sky and the way the ground disappears into the distance. We also like the toning, it gives the picture a nice “retro” look.
Love the tone in the image and the clouds – good work!

Awesome huge landscape, nice tones, a landscape that makes you feel small :)
B&W works fine, but I think I would like to see it in colors as well.
Hey mate,
Thank you for the compliments on my blog. You were the very first to leave a note, so hopefully you’re the first of many. Strangely enough, I’ve been to your blog before. An awfully nice collection of work you’ve amassed here and you should be quite proud. Really remarkable stuff.
As for my Cityscapes, it’s just trial and error for the most part. I’ll take about 100 shots and save 2 or 3, to be honest. Sometimes my white balance will be well askew and I will be the beneficiary of a glorious mistake. Sometimes they just come out perfect. But I have no secret tricks, honestly. I don’t even have photoshop. All I have is my camera, my lenses and iPhoto. So most of what you see came directly out of my camera.
But, again, thank you so much. I look forward to following you in the days ahead.
I like the feeling of vastness here…big sky, small land, cool. I’d try and experiment more with toning/colours.
