Did you know cars in Kenya have jet packs installed in the boot to make them go faster!

This was a really interesting shot that i spotted inside Canterbury cathedral i though it had wonderful light that was being filtered in by the sun windows and illuminating this flower arrangement.

We had a great service there and the talk was pretty good. All about opening our metaphorical blind eyes and seeing people around us that are in need. One key word was Others. The scripture was Jesus healing Blind Bartimaeus.

Mark 10:46-52

⁶Then they came to Jericho. As Jesus and his disciples, together with a large crowd, were leaving the city, a blind man, Bartimaeus (that is, the Son of Timaeus), was sitting by the roadside begging. ⁴⁷When he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to shout, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”

⁴⁸Many rebuked him and told him to be quiet, but he shouted all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!”

⁴⁹Jesus stopped and said, “Call him.” So they called to the blind man, “Cheer up! On your feet! He’s calling you.”⁵⁰Throwing his cloak aside, he jumped to his feet and came to Jesus.

⁵¹“What do you want me to do for you?” Jesus asked him.
The blind man said, “Rabbi, I want to see.”

⁵²“Go,” said Jesus, “your faith has healed you.” Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus along the road.

Luke Baker alos gets credit here..

My friend Luke Baker had to come up with an idea for a University project that he was set. It was based on a bus stop poster for Amnesty International.

Lukes concept was brilliant, It was “shedding light on human rights”. What he did was make a stencil and then had the idea of using light to shine through it to add to the metaphrical idea of the ad.

I was helping him out with the photography and we had a great laugh with all of it..

This photo is quite basic and simple know but i quite like it as it has almost layers to it and this person who is looking out is almost not part of what he is looking at…

its just a flash with a slow shutter speed… and almost no editing.

I just quite liked it..

This photo was taken at Poole quay… with a good friend of mine Luke Baker a talented graphics artist.. he is doing a graphics illustration project on the quay so we popped down for a spot of photography…

Im pretty sure this is one of mine.. as we shared my camera.. but if not sorry luke…

If you ask luke i kept baning on about the light on the water as it looked so nice… but thing was it is not that applicable to a illustrative piece of work that needs more definitions..

i like it as i have stylise the warehouse with a water colour brush and then mad sure things are perfect toward the bottom of the image… this makes a nice contrast from where the light is coming from to clear light reflected in the water..

what’s the verdict to peopels.. like it…

This photo was taken on the entry into Jomo Kenyatta International airport as you walk down towards the Immigration desks..

I liked the original perspective of this image but i later realised that the light that was coming of the adverts on the side were beautiful…

i have just used the curves to pull out this light and then tone down the rest of the backgrounds… i also added a layer effect multiply to be exact and a little gaussian blurr..

do people like it or is it too dark…

one fore thing i had to crop it down as it had allot of useless space above and below it..

Here we have it then the final choice of moi…. i really like this one its of a great freind of mine on dian beach…

Its a croped version of the previewed on my blog… then i have added a few filters and mae it quite light look with the levels..

This was taken at low light with my television light shining though the Vase. It was a cool idea a the light diffused through the etching in the glass.
