Light in Canterbury Cathedral

This was a really interesting shot that i spotted inside Canterbury cathedral i though it had wonderful light that was being filtered in by the sun windows and illuminating this flower arrangement.

We had a great service there and the talk was pretty good. All about opening our metaphorical blind eyes and seeing people around us that are in need. One key word was Others. The scripture was Jesus healing Blind Bartimaeus.

Mark 10:46-52

6Then they came to Jericho. As Jesus and his disciples, together with a large crowd, were leaving the city, a blind man, Bartimaeus (that is, the Son of Timaeus), was sitting by the roadside begging. 47When he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to shout, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”

48Many rebuked him and told him to be quiet, but he shouted all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!”

49Jesus stopped and said, “Call him.” So they called to the blind man, “Cheer up! On your feet! He’s calling you.”50Throwing his cloak aside, he jumped to his feet and came to Jesus.

51“What do you want me to do for you?” Jesus asked him.
The blind man said, “Rabbi, I want to see.”

52“Go,” said Jesus, “your faith has healed you.” Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus along the road.

Kenyan Flower Series #4

By flowers, TonedNo Comments

This was a simple colour tone on a black and white images using the select color range tool…

I tried to keep the pink subtle and not to strong.. it has created a nice airbrish feeling but i am  not sure if it works too wel as the green did look nice… ??

Thoughts..

Kenyan Flower Series #2

By Depth of field, Macro3 Comments

This is a nice little tightly cropped image of… sadly i forget the name… but rather common flower in Kenya…

Again there is allot of depth of field in this and it works rather nicely i feel… it accentuates that nice red core of the flower…

Again just fairly simple levels tweaks here..

Would a more clearer shot with less depth of field have been better?
